Film description:

The seventeenth season of the animated television series South Park premiered on Comedy Central on September 25, 2013 and ended on December 11, 2013. The season consists of 10 episodes, as series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone decided to scale back and have one uninterrupted season, as opposed to two 7-episode runs, as had been the format since season 7. Aside from Parker, who wrote and directed all episodes, this season employed additional writers, one of whom is former Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader, who began working full-time on the show. Due to a power outage at the studio, episode 4 ("Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers") missed the deadline and aired a week later than scheduled.

The only one!

When I saw people talking about South Park I always hear them talking about the same thing '' South Park is much cool is both dirty word''

Because I am a person who likes series with intellect, I tried to stay away from South Park, until when I saw South Park, for seasons 7-8 I realized how wrong those people were

South Park is not just an offensive humor and meaningless, is a critical of acidic society and the world, is an intelligent humor, and offensive, that you do not see the South Park is cool simply because of their language real, like people really think and talk on the day-to-day, think about South Park as one of the greatest inventions of mankind, where the target of the criticism is simply the world

If you do not like to see South Park because you feel ''offended'' I'm really sorry for you...

South Park is an amazing show, even though it is inappropriate for younger viewers. With all the characters and the different happenings in different episode, it is a forever unique series.

One of the (best) things about the series is the in-show television series the boys are always watching calling Terrance and Phillip; as the boys are forever being entertained and influenced by the stupidity seen on the show (just like how some adults see South Park to be a bad influence on kids).

Even if the show isn't humorous at some points, it is always entertaining as there is some sort of suspense that keeps the viewers entertained to keep watching the show (like how Kenny will die).

i am not shameful to say that i have watched all the episodes of the 16 seasons, understanding some while confused by some others, due to the culture gap.

i like the show itself because of the reasons already mentioned by the others and many more.

US TV shows are very popular in mainland china. here what shows you are watching is often a register to demonstrate your social status in your taste and whether you are up to date in following the fads. the sequence in watching TV shows from high to low is British show viewer-US-Japanese Korean-HK/Taiwan/Singapore-mainland Chinese-Thailand. viewers are just crazy. they waited online the whole night for a new episode to be posted, watched it without any Chinese sub-tiles, watched it again when the version with Chinese translation sub-tiles is released.

the hits include Prison Break, Lost, Friends, Homeland and many others. SP and another one Mad Men are not so popular, since they might be too culturally loaded that they are rather hard to understand.

apart from all the praise the former reviews heaping on the show i can still add quite a few.

no one mentions the opening disclaimer of the show. have you ever seen that before? it gives you a hint in what style the show is going to be.

besides its staggering AC Nelson Ratings (more than 13 with the episode who is Cartmen's Father), the show gets responds from the academics, with books analyzing and discussing it, like Pychology in SP.

what is amusing is when i happened to come across a short clip of porn, the 18 year old heroine tells the camera she likes SP most when interviewed.

just like the characters in Friends, here in SP, the smart one might do something stupid, while the mean might offer a hand to the needy. no one is perfect and even the most hated might do something good. they are surreal most of the time and at one point they are just the guys cross the road.

to sum up, whether you love or hate the show, you have to admit it that in one way or another, you are the very person depicted in the show,be it mean, ignorant, stupid, racist or anything.
