Film description:

The action of The Borgias season 2 takes place in the 16th century Italy. The Borgia clan placed Rodrigo on the Pope’s throne in Vatican by means of schemes and bribes. However, the newly-elected Pope Alexander VI has a lot of enemies and the most irrepressible among them is Cardinal della Rovere. He wins support of King Charles VIII of France in his struggle against the Pope in exchange for the throne of Naples, the patrimony of the Borgias. The King approaches Naples and captures Prince Alfonso, but finds himself in a dangerous trap caused by the plague. Feeling triumphant, the Pope organizes celebrations for the people. He finds a new favorite, a young artist Vittoria who pretends to be a man in order to be able to paint. Julia is afraid to lose her influential lover and also becomes friends with Vittoria. After a ride along the streets of Rome, the Pope understands that the citizens live on the margin of poverty…
