Film description:

The curious, adventure-seeking, fourth grade group of boys, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny, all join in in buffoonish adventures that sometimes evolve nothing. Sometimes something that was simple at the start, turns out to get out of control. Everything is odd in the small mountain town, South Park, and the boys always find something to do with it.

The pilot episode was produced using cutout animation. All subsequent episodes are created with software that emulates the cutout technique. Parker and Stone perform most of the voice acting for the show's male characters. Since 2000, each episode is typically written and produced during the week preceding its broadcast, with Parker serving as the primary writer and director. There have been a total of 275 episodes over the course of the show's 20 seasons.

I watch this animated show on sometimes Fridays and Saturdays and I love it! Much better than Simpsons, only seen two episodes of Family Guy and South Park is highest in the rank. Very funny humour and foul language gives this 'adult cartoon' a 10/10. My favourite episode would have to be when they're in Imaginationland and all hell breaks loose. Butters asked the fat hippy guy 'how do I get home'? then the fat hippy guy says 'tap your shoes three times' Butter says 'really' then the fat hippy guy shouted 'no you fuc*ing dipshi* I was fuc*ing joking'. Very funny and my favourite character in South Part would have to be Eric Cartman.

Obviously it's one of the funniest shows on television...and'the best thing about it is how it gets under the skin of all the repressed people who want to censor it. The fact that the conservatives are on a warpath to censor material just shows that they are illiberal by nature - they do not believe in freedom and democracy, or the open exchange of information and ideas. We can't have a free society if you don't have the freedom to read the books, watch the movies and TV shows, and listen to the music that you want to. Closed societies respond to the expression of ideas with censorship and repression, because the governments in these societies are not confident of their legitimacy, that is why they must resort to repression of dissent.

Above and beyond any other adult cartoon on TV. Reruns are on the local Fox affiliate here on Saturday nights for hours and hours and I think it actually gets better ratings than SNL reruns. The show is just so brilliant and well structured. Occasionally there are episodes that aren't as good as others, but the boys continue to make great product. It seems like just yesterday the movie came out, and I still watch it and enjoy it when it's on. I think my favorite part of the series is the episodes in which Randy, Stan's dad, is asked about anything science related and although he is just a geologist, he is expected to know/help the situation.
