Now I own the first 2 seasons of American Dad and am waiting to see the third which has not shown in Australia yet and if it has I have missed it. Now usually with sitcoms I evaluate every season instead of the overall like my review on The Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park but there has been only 3 seasons so far so I will hold back on that 'till around season 6. The show is funny most of the time with a few similarities to its predecessor Family Guy but it is overall a new look on the American Family with a Dad who is a little obsessed with the littlest things. I think this show is worth a watch for its jokes on culture and Stans inability to remain a human for anymore then 5 minutes. I hope this show has a few seasons left in it and keeps being funny. I rate this show 79% and I hope I can say it gets to 85 by season 6.

The Volume 4 DVD box set was released in Region 1 on April 28, 2009, Region 2 on April 20, 2009, and Region 4 on November 18, 2009. Six of the 21 episodes are included in the Volume 4 DVD box set. The remaining fourteen episodes of the season were released on the Volume 5 DVD box set, released in Region 1 on June 15, 2010, Region 2 on June 14, 2010, and Region 4 on November 3, 2010.

This show is actually as good as family guy it has unique comedy and everything it is one of the best shows ever made and it is good the first episode was quite funny then the second then the third i loved it i know its not a popular show but i like it is better than family guy and its one of the greatest show in the world and another thing i like the alien he is genius Seth mcflarine is genius i love his shows especially American dad of course better funnier and bigger than family guy it is one of the funniest show and it will always crack me up and all my friends like it too they think its funny when i show them it and klaws the fish he fancies Francine i mean a fish fancing a human that is unique!

I started watching this show a couple of years ago and I think it's great! It definitely is not as good as "South Park", but that isn't a surprise. But it is one hell and a lot better than "Family Guy". The series contains a lot of smart jokes, and I think that's why most of the people don't like the show, just because they don't get it! But these funny jokes make the difference with "Family Guy", it has a story. So the jokes are from the same level (not as ridiculously strange as "Family Guy" though), but "American Dad" really has a message in it. I have to admit that I'm a liberal, that's why all the "making fun of the Republicans" is funny to me. So this is what I have to say, American Dad: One of the greatest animated shows on television!
