Film description:

In Rome season 2 Mark Antony escapes from Quintus Pompey’s sellswords by the skin of his teeth and decides to travel up North and gather an army. He wants to bring Atia, her children and Caesar’s widow along. However, Atia’s perspicacious son Octavian, whom Caesar defined as his son and successor in his last will, suggests his own plan – to stay in Rome. Mark Antony visits Servilia and initiates a transaction: Caesar’s is buried with appropriate honor and, in turn, Brutus and his fellows will be freed from murder charges. During Caesar’s funeral public opinion turns towards Mark Antony. Meanwhile, sorrowful Lucius Vorenus organizes his wife Niobe’s funeral which neither their daughters nor Niobe’s illegitimate son come to attend. Vorenus is on the verge of madness but Pullo, who returns to Rome with his young wife and former slave Irina, comes for rescue just in time. Together Vorenus and Pullo look for Erastes who happens to have kidnapped Vorenus’ daughters.
