Film description:

TV series "The Leftovers" is set around a group of people living in suburbs of Mapleton. Three years ago 2% of Earth population suddenly disappeared without a trace. About 100 people vanished from Mapleton. Among them were children, adults, senior citizens of all nationalities and occupations. Over the time passed, life still hasn’t got back to normal. Religious fanatics and scientists keep having fierce disputes about where and how all these people disappeared. The plot follows a local police chef Kevin Garvey. He inherited his position from his father who had been taken to a mental health clinic after "October the 14th". Garvey is trying to maintain order in the town, consumed with anger and sorrow but he also has to deal with his own problems: his son has gone to the West and has been out of touch all this time, his teenage daughter is going out of control and his wife left the family for a mysterious organization named "the Guilty Remnant".
