Film description:

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a science fiction drama series developed for the Fox Broadcasting Company by Josh Friedman. The series follows the characters of Sarah and John Connor (portrayed by Lena Headey and Thomas Dekker, respectively) after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In the pilot, the pair are transported from 1999 to 2007 by a terminator named Cameron Phillips (Summer Glau) who was sent back from the year 2027 to protect John. From that point, the show chronicles the trio's attempt to stop the computer system Skynet from going online, triggering a nuclear holocaust and declaring war on mankind in an apocalyptic future.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiered on Sunday, January 13, 2008 after the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys playoff game at 9:00PM Eastern/8:00PM Central to the highest ratings for a scripted television program on Fox in seven years and the most viewers for a scripted show on the network in eight years. Additionally, it also had the highest ratings of a scripted program debut during prime time among adults 18–34 and 18–49 (key demographics for advertisers) in three years and the most viewers for a scripted program premiere in two years. A second episode followed the next day, Monday, in the show's regular timeslot at 9:00PM Eastern/8:00PM Central.

Due to the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike, only nine of the original thirteen episodes for the first season were completed.

This show is awesome! I can't get enough of it. To be honest, I was never skeptical of it. I had high hopes and was not disappointed. It is different from the films but not so much that the feeling is gone. The music is similar, the action is similar and the feeling of dread is similar. The two lead actresses are insanely hot and really do a great job with the characters. John does a pretty darn good job as well. If it weren't for the stinkin' commercials this wouldn't feel like television at all. The story just keeps getting more and more interesting. I absolutely can not wait for the next episode on the 4th of February. Overall, this show is incredibly entertaining and really does a great job adding to the Terminator mythos. Highly recommended to anyone. (It is fortunately, fairly violent, as well it should be.)

The first episodes of this series, or maybe the whole first season, felt sort of cheap. There were some poor effects and acting. I really do like the world of terminator movies though, so I gave the series a chance and kept watching and I haven't regretted.

I think that the series evolved already during the first season. The storyline evolved well and the world of terminator has captured me totally. Now this second season has a very professional feel to it. All the faults of the first one are fixed. Acting has gotten better and dialogs have become a little more believable. Effects are also a lot better and the storyline still flows well.

I deeply wish that those of you, who stopped watching after few episodes, get back with the series. Sarah Connor Chronicles truly is a great series. Just get over the cheap feeling in the beginning. If you like the world of terminator, you will enjoy this series.

If you liked the Movies, you will like this series. I missed the series on TV and later rented, and then bought the disks. It may start (the Pilot) looking like a standard spin-off for TV, but as the episodes progress, it just keeps getting better, until you can't wait for the next one. Lena Headey is fabulous as Sarah Conner. I never really noticed her before in other roles, but I was very impressed and she was so convincing in this role and series, you forget you are watching TV, and man does she literally Kick Butt. They don't last long, but I loved her fight scenes. She IS Good. I loved the rest of the cast as well.

It is an absolute shame this was canceled. People don't know what they missed. It would be nice to see it picked up by someone else. And as for those people who just reviewed the first episode, Maybe they should have viewed both seasons before commenting. I think the ratings weren't as good as the series really was due to the producers didn't hold back when it came to termination. A LOT of people die, I mean A LOT, and it can be graphic to younger viewers and older conservatives who would have just changed the channel. But for Me, It was awesome, realistic, and my hat is off to everyone involved. Well written, acted, produced, choreographed, special effects, scenery, Everything. I might be totally disappointed this didn't continue, but I am also thankful for many, MANY hours of GREAT entertainment. Some of the Best, If not the best TV series I've ever seen. To me, it was cinema worthy.

It's 2010 and I'm still sad this excellent show got cancelled someone needs to be fired for making this wrong decision, if still working for Fox.

Seriously, someone must bring this show back. It's going to be a classic in years to come.

Anyway, what can I say that hasn't been said already.

This show was truly excellent in every department. I'm not going to go into details about the characters in the show etc. Let's just say someone forgot to give Brian Austin Green (Derek Reese) and Summer Glau (Cameron Phillips) their awards i.e. Golden Globes for each season - you still have time.

It's in my head that Derek Reese character should be in any future movie.

Seriously, any future instalments of the movie must include his character i.e Brian Austin Green. I know the movies are slightly different to this excellent TV show but it's ignoring to think I now know Kyle has a brother who is a badass plus I prefer Derek to Kyle in some ways.

Also, Summer Glau performance deserves acknowledgement and she should also star in any future movie. All the characters where brilliant in this show, there's actually nothing to complain about regarding this show, so I'm not going to try except I suggest people buy the DVDs and enjoy. You might find it's better than the last Terminator movie for sure.

Fox you should be ashamed, one of the best TV shows and you let it go, bad move and do the decent thing and bring it back.
