Film description:

Dallas is a spin-off of the TV series of the same name aired in 1980s and 1990s. The story follows the Ewing family. These are wealthy people who have created their capital on two businesses – oil business and cattle ranching. However, the prosperity of the family is not solely based on wealth. Especially in the Ewing family where each man has got his own unshakeable standpoint on how to live and how to do business. In the new “Dallas” the focus is shifted from J. R. and Bobby, who used to be the main characters of the old series, to their successors – John Ross Ewing III and Christopher. The two cousins fill find themselves in the center of the action. Both young men are full of ambitions and are ready to compete for property, love and glory to the end. John Ross is the exact copy of his father: cynical, much too calculating and power-loving for his age. He is eager to get the best out of life and is not afraid to break the law in order to his goals. Christopher, in turn, has mostly inherited his parents’ personality. He is much more humane and down-to-earth than his cousin. Christopher doesn’t care as much about money as he cares about the prosperity of the ranch on which his John Ross has had certain claims.
