Film description:

Events unfold in 1776, almost immediately after the start of a long and bloody war for independence of the United States. Abe Woodhull is an ordinary farmer living in the occupied by British troops town Setauket. Abe didn't interfere in the political conflict, but he tired of the harassment by the colonial authorities and decides to influence the course of events. Together with childhood friends, he creates the first spy squad. Friends risks their lives and safety of the family for the freedom of their country. The situation is complicated when Abe's father, Richard Woodhull, a loyal subject of the crown, begins to suspect that his son was involved in espionage against the British Empire. TV show Turn is based on the book by Alexander Rose "Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring".
