The Americans tells the life story of KGB agents undercover. Washington, 60 years of the twentieth century. Russian intelligence agents under assumed names Philip and Elizabeth Jennings settled in the suburbs of the US capital under the guise of an ordinary couple. They are typical Americans and at first glance doesn't try to stand out. Couple living in the enemy's rear, working, raising children, which, of course, don't know about the secret lives of their parents. But with each new day a fake marriage of Philip and Elizabeth becomes more real. Twenty years later, a marriage grows into something more that compromising the mission of the agents during the Cold War. Voltage increases when Stan appears next to them in the neighborhood, because he works for the FBI counterintelligence.
